The bismuth borate glass system doped with europium ions had been prepared by Pascuta et al. [24] at 1100 °C. The glass samples prepared by the authors were melted at 900 °C. WebFe-bismuth borate glasses systems of composition; (70-x) B2O3+ 5 Bi2O3+15 MgO+ 5 Na2O+5 Al2O3+x where x = 0, 0.5, 1, 1.5 mol% Fe2O3 were prepared thru the known melting annealing procedure.
